Tours & Tastings

The winery told by the people who live it every day: a journey through the historic cellar, the Vin Santo cellar and the wines of the house, in the heart of the Albarola estate.

Wine, told where it is born

The Tour

First the places,
then the glasses

Tours take place by appointment and lead guests into the heart of the estate: a story made of places and people, even before bottles, guided by those who work here every day.

The route touches the historic cellar beneath the residence, the Vin Santo cellar with its drying racks and small casks, and today's working spaces. And it ends the way it should: with full glasses.

  1. The historic cellar

The journey begins beneath the residence, among the great oak casks and the memory of two centuries of harvests.

  2. The Vin Santo cellar

Under the roofs of the estate, the drying racks and the small casks where the Vin Santo, one of the most historic wines of the Colli Piacentini, is born.

  3. The winery today

The vats and tanks where the house wines take shape, told by the people who follow them day by day.

  4. The tasting counter

A tasting of the house wines, accompanied by Piacenza cured meats and local flavours, between the garden and the gallery of the Villa.

The Tasting

At the table, as it should be

«At the table, one never grows old.»

So goes an old Italian saying, and in Albarola we believe it: the tasting pairs the wines of the house with Piacenza cured meats and local flavours, in the shelter of the gallery or in the garden of the Villa.

Masterclasses
and verticals

For those who want to go deeper, guided vertical tastings compare several vintages of the most representative labels of the house: La Madreperla, La Berganzina, the Cabernet.

A way to discover how wine evolves over time, through family stories and vintages. On request, for small groups.
