Albarola is a small village in the heart of the Colli Piacentini, where everyone grew something to bring to the table. And everyone, without exception, knew how to grow vines: each family tended a vineyard, planting strawberries or salad greens between the rows. And since every vineyard has a name, it often took the name of the family who worked it.
The Madreperla family tended the highest Malvasia vineyard: this is where we select the grapes for our still Malvasia, where less generous soils give a wine of greater body and structure.
